Research progress on the relationship between C-reactive protein gene polymorphism and tumorigenesis and development
【Abstract】 The baseline level of human C-reactive protein(CRP) is most significant influenced by single nucleotide polymorphism in CRP gene and has individual differences. In recent years, epidemiology and research have found that the increased CRP level caused by genetic polymorphism in CRP gene is closely related to the increased risk of cancer and the proliferation and metastasis of tumors and poor prognosis. In addition, a number of genome-wide single nucleotide polymorphisms that are involved in the regulation of CRP levels are being identified and have similar functions. But some studies have found no causal relationship between genetically elevated CRP levels and cancer. It is believed that these differences may be related to different races, regions, sample sizes, environmental factors and genetic factors. This article reviews the research progress of CRP gene polymorphism and tumorigenesis and development, in order to provide reference for the study of the pathogenesis of CRP gene polymorphism and tumor immune-related etiology pathway.
