【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the status of COVID-19 vaccination among breast cancer patients and the influencing factors of vaccine hesitancy, and to provide evidence for better addressing the issues related to the special population of breast cancer patients. Methods A total of 500 breast cancer patients were selected to adopt a convenient sampling method from the rehabilitation organization and We Chat group of the breast cancer center in tertiary A comprehensive treatment hospitals of Chongqing from July 9 to 30,2021.The patients’ general information,COVID-19 vaccination and vaccine hesitancy were self-assessed.SPSS22.0 was used for data analysis. Results A total of 454 valid questionnaires were completed, including 90 patients who had received the COVID-19 vaccine and 364 patients who had not.A total of 242 cases were included in the vaccine hesitation group, including those who were hesitant, unwilling to be vaccinated, and those who had been vaccinated but were not determined to be vaccinated. The vaccine hesitation rate was 53.30%.There were statistically significant differences in vaccine hesitancy rates among breast cancer patients of different ages, whether they had taken breast cancer-related drugs, whether doctors did not recommend the injection of COVID-19 vaccine, and different periods of illness(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that patients taking breast cancer treatment drugs were 1.28 times more hesitant to the vaccine than those not taking breast cancer treatment drugs. And 1.57 times as many patients were hesitant to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as those who were not.Breast cancer patients within 3 years were 2.49 times more likely to hesitate about vaccines than those after 3 years. Conclusion At present, the vaccine coverage rate of breast cancer patients is low,and a refined vaccination plan should be formulated according to the status of vaccine hesitancy.
