【Abstract】 In the end of the 20th century, Chinese drama was performed in little theatres and Chinese opera followed suit. Now in the early 21st century, it is gaining popular. In Beijing,China’s cultural, artistic and dramatic center, little theatre opera festival has been held on a yearly basis, attracting a large number of young and talented directors and playwrights.
