【Abstract】 Over the past half century of interdisciplinary construction and development,Duke University has broken through multiple barriers such as the inherent departmental structure,disciplinary barriers and has gone through three major stages: exploring and advancing based on practice,gathering resources to lay the foundation of interdisciplinarity,and deepening interdisciplinary development for the future. Interdisciplinary research and education has become an important feature of Duke University and a theme for its future development. Duke University has established a campus-wide interdisciplinary collaboration system and an interdisciplinary administrative system to promote the production of interdisciplinary research results and the cultivation of interdisciplinary talents. Duke University has become a pioneer in interdisciplinary strategic planning,interdisciplinary administration,interdisciplinary resource allocation,interdisciplinary faculty appointment,and interdisciplinary platform construction in the United States,and its experience may provide some insights into the interdisciplinary reform of research universities in China.更多还原
