【Abstract】 In Ruan Ji′s works, many kinds of ideal personalities are mentioned, and according to the name classification, there are different appellations such as gentleman, sage, supreme man, lofty man, super man and spiritual being, which contain different meanings. Even if the same appellation is different in Ruan Ji′s works in different periods, and the image it represents has obvious changes, showing a distinct hierarchy.There are Confucian "sage" and "gentleman", Taoist "sage", "supreme man" and "lofty man", spiritual detached "lofty man", "sage" and "Taichusuper man", as well as "Mr. Big Man" and "spiritual being" who surpassphysical life and death and spiritual detachment.
