【Abstract】 Strategic emerging industries are a powerful driving force for the transformation and development of regional economy. As an old industrial city, Shaoguan City has both opportunities and challenges in cultivating and developing strategic emerging industries. Uncertainties in industrial development, weak technical support capabilities and the scarcity of high-end talents all pose no small constraints to Shaoguan’s development of strategic emerging industries.
