Discussion on the Application of 3D Printing in Elderly Hip Fractures
【Abstract】 Objective To analyze the application effect of 3D printing in elderly hip fractures. Methods A selection of 58 elderly hip fracture patients admitted to the hospital from March 2019 to February 2021 were divided into two groups according to the random number table method, with 29 cases in each group. The reference group was given conventional surgical treatment, and the study group used 3D printing technology for adjuvant treatment. The effect of surgical reduction, operation-related indicators and hip joint function at different time points after surgery were compared between the two groups. Results The excellent and good rate of surgical reduction in the study group was slightly higher than that in the reference group(100.00% vs 96.55%), but the difference was not sta-tistically significant(P>0.05). The operation time of the study group was(75.38±9.83) min and the time to get out of bed for the first time after operation(1.86±0.40) d were shorter than those of the reference group, and the intraoperative blood loss(225.80 ±36.72)mL was less than the reference group, the difference was statistically significant(t=2.707, 3.435, 6.186, P<0.05). At 2 months and 4 months after surgery, the Harris scores of hip joint function in the study group were(72.37±8.55) points and(81.25±9.83) points respectively, higher than those of the reference group, the difference was statistically significant(t=2.352, 2.958, P<0.05). Conclusion The application of 3D printing technology to elderly hip fracture surgery has the advantages of quickness, less trauma and quick postoperative re-covery, which can help improve the effect of surgical reduction and promote the recovery of patients’ hip joint function.
