【Abstract】 Hainan is one of the high-quality tropical tea regions in China, with a unique history of tea. There are disputes about the origin of its tea and the time of its artificial cultivation in the academic circles. This paper systematically reviews the historical facts of tea distribution, planting, understanding of tea as well as development and utilization in Hainan during the historical period. It is believed that the development of tea in Hainan is far behind other regions. In the early days of the People’s Republic of China, the ancient tea processing mode of collecting wild tea was still retained, and cultivated tea planting did not appear until the 1960s.更多还原
