【Abstract】 In Chinese classical poetry, the use of allusions has created unique rhetorical and aesthetic effects for poetry. However, due to its rich cultural characteristics, it often leads to unavoidable cultural default and cultural conflicts in specific translation practice,which increases the difficulty of poetry translation. Therefore, in consideration of the acceptability of readers, choosing appropriate Chinese-English translation strategies is the key for translators to translate allusions. Based on the theory of Chinese-English translation strategies of ancient Chinese poetry, this paper, taking Jon Eugene von Kowallis′s English version of Lu Xun′s classical-style verses as the research object, explores the effective translation strategies adopted by translators to make up for cultural differences in the translation of allusions.更多还原
