海南热带次生林4种生态功能关键树种补植保存率与生长量
Survival Rate and Growth Amount for Four Reintroduced Ecological Keystone Species in Hainan Secondary Rainforest
【摘要】 【目的】对海南热带次生林的恢复而言,人工补植是促进森林快速恢复的主要手段之一。分析白榄(Canarium album)、油楠(Sindora glabra)、麻楝(Chukrasia tabularis)和坡垒(Hopea hainanensis)4种生态功能关键树种在不同处理样地下连续5年的补植保存率与生长量,以期为热带雨林生态功能关键树种的恢复和保护提供科学依据。【方法】在海南热带雨林国家公园霸王岭林区设置60块固定样地,于2017年补植4种生态功能关键树种共9 360株。基于生态功能关键树种在抚育/不抚育样地连续5年的存活和生长(实际高度、高度绝对生长量、高度相对生长量)监测数据,使用多重比较分析和混合效应模型分析补植保存率及生长量的差异。【结果】总体而言,抚育样地的幼苗保存率和生长量均高于不抚育样地。抚育样地幼苗第5年保存率高达88.29%,未抚育样地幼苗保存率则为77.77%。抚育样地的幼苗保存率在补植4年后趋于平稳,而不抚育样地仍有下降趋势。抚育和未抚育的幼苗5年高度绝对生长量分别为25.80 cm和6.39 cm。多重比较结果显示:不同处理下幼苗的保存率和高度绝对生长量在补植第2年开始出现差异,相对生长量在补植第4年开始出现差异,且随着时间的推移差异增大。不同树种之间的保存率和生长量也存在差异。补植第2年后绝对生长量为:白榄>油楠>麻楝>坡垒;补植第4年后相对生长量为:白榄>麻楝>油楠>坡垒。油楠保存率最高(88%),其次为坡垒(87.5%)和麻楝(86%),白榄保存率最低(67%)。混合效应模型结果表明:抚育措施能够显著提高白榄及麻楝的个体生长,而抚育措施对坡垒、油楠的个体生长量没有显著作用。【结论】抚育措施能显著提高总体保存率和生长量,尤其是对于前期快速生长的白榄及麻楝。在补植白榄和麻楝前必须先进行抚育处理;而较为耐荫的坡垒和油楠在速生期前(7~8年)进行抚育或能促进生长。
【Abstract】 【 Objective】 The reintroduction of seedlings is an important practice for promoting forest restoration. To provide scientific and practical references for the protection of four ecological keystone species(Canarium album, Sindora glabra, Chukrasia tabularis, Hopea hainanensis) and the restoration of tropical forests in Hainan, we analyzed the survival rate and growth amount of seedlings for above mentioned four ecological keystone species in different treatment plots. 【Method】We established 60 forest dynamic plots(FDPs) in Bawangling, Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park. In 2017, we reintroduced a total of 9 360 seedlings of four ecological keystone species. Based on the survival and growth data of the four ecological keystone species in thinned/unthinned plots for five consecutive years, we used multiple comparison analysis and mixed effect models to analyze the differences in the survival rate and growth amount of reintroduced seedlings. 【Result】In general, the survival rate and growth amount of thinned plots were higher than those of untinned plots. The fifth-year survival rate of the thinned plots was 88.29%, while that of the unthinned plots was 77.77%. The survival rate of thinned plots leveled off after four years, while that of unthinned plots still declined. The absolute growth amount of seedlings in thinning/without thinning plots were 25.80 cm and 6.39 cm, respectively.Multiple comparisons showed that the survival rate and absolute growth amount in thinned plots significantly differ from unthinned plots in the second year, while the relative growth rate in thinned plots significantly varied from unthinned plots in the fourth year.And the difference increased over time. There are significant differences in the survival rate and growth amount among different species. Absolute growth amount of height after the second year was: C. album > S. glabra > C. tabularis > H. hainanensis. Relative growth rate of height after the fourth year was: C. album > C. tabularis > S. glabra > H. hainanensis. The survival rate of S. glabra is88%, followed by H. hainanensis(87.5%), C. tabularis(86%), and C. album(67%). The results of the mixed effect model showed that thinning measures could significantly increase the growth of C. album and C. tabularis, while there was no effect on the growth of H. hainanensis and S. glabra. 【Conclusion】In Tropical forests, thinning measures significantly improve the overall survival rate and growth amount of ecological keystone species, especially for initial fast-growing species such as of C. album and C. tabularis.Thus, before introducing seedlings of C. album and C. tabularis, it is crucial to carry out thinning in order to create optimal growth conditions. For H. hainanensis and S. glabra, these two species likely shade tolerant during seedling period, thinning before their rapid growth period(7~8 years) could be more reasonable.
