RPE与VEGF-A间的相互作用在年龄相关性黄斑变性发病机制中的研究进展
Advances in the interaction between Retinal pigment epithelium cells and Vascular endothelial growth factor A in the pathogenesis of age-related macular degeneration
【摘要】 年龄相关性黄斑变性(age related macular degeneration,AMD)是我国社会威胁老年人群视觉健康的重要疾病之一。近年来,国内外研究均把血管内皮生长因子(vascular endothelial growth factor,VEGF) A作为湿性AMD治疗的主要靶点。实际上,VEGF-A是维持全身血管系统平衡的重要生长因子。在眼部各种细胞因子及补体的调节下,VEGF-A起到了维持视网膜色素上皮(retinal pigment epithelium,RPE)及脉络膜功能的重要作用。单纯抗VEGF治疗而不考虑维持生理剂量的VEGF水平对于湿性AMD的治疗可能弊大于利。在充分认清VEGF-A与RPE、脉络膜的相互作用关系基础上,进行深入开发,或许在未来能够进一步提升湿性甚至干性AMD的治疗效果。
【Abstract】 Age-related macular degeneration is one of the most important diseases that threaten the visual health of the elderly in China. In recent years,studies at home and abroad have identified Vascular endothelial growth factor A as a major target for the treatment of wet AMD. In fact,VEGF-A is an important growth factor that maintains the balance of the vascular system throughout the body. VEGF-A plays an important role in maintain the function of retinal pigment epithelium and choroid,which is regulated by various cytokines and complements in the eye. Anti-VEGF therapy alone without considering the maintenance of physiological dose of VEGF may do more harm than good for wet AMD treatment. Further Development,based on the full understanding of the interactions between VEGF-A,RPE and Choroid,may lead to further improvements in the treatment of wet and even dry AMD.
