【Abstract】 Taking California modern housing in 1920s-1970s for example,this paper focuses on “form” and the shaping of living atmosphere,as well as “function” and the making of social identity. By analyzing the spatial characteristics,it attempts to reveal that the interpretation of “Domesticity” in the discourse of housing history,although once regarded as a suppression of the components in the “Modern Movement”,is still possible to trace at least in the living experience of “middle class”,if it is not limited to a series of stylized scene elements expressed by images.更多还原
