【摘要】 在明代西域话语中，西域指明廷即将展开经营、控驭之地。待于此地设置羁縻卫所后，西域则转指更远的宣谕招徕之地。故明代西域范围随其军事政治力量西及距离的远近而变化，可谓“触而未及之异域”。永乐四年（1406）设哈密卫领西域职贡，西域东端起点西移至火州、土鲁番；嘉靖八年（1529）恢复土鲁番朝贡“置哈密不问”，西域东端起点回撤至嘉峪关。朝野在西域的构成及其西端终点问题上，基本保持一致。但明廷为掩饰成化至嘉靖朝对西域的经营不善，营造出西域素以嘉峪关为界的假象。私家著述虽对明初积极经营西域、营建羁縻卫所称赞有加，但所绘西域图景却多有汉唐之像，概欲告诫后学异域本为旧疆，对复兴西域经营盛世寄予厚望。更多还原

【Abstract】 In the discourse practice of the Western Regions in Ming Dynasty, the Western Regions referred to the place where the Ming government was going to operate and control. After setting up the Jimi garrison here, the Western regions turned to the further place where the government could declare its order and solicit business. Therefore, the scope of the Western Regions in Ming Dynasty would change with the distance of its military and political forces to the West, which could be described as “a foreign land in contact but not govern(rule)”. In the fourth year of Yongle Emperor(1406), a Jimi garrison was set in Hami, and the starting point at the eastern end of the Western Regions was moved to Huozhou and Turpan in the west. In the reign of the eighth year of Jiajing Emperor(1529), the tribute of Turpan was restored, Hami was set aside, and the starting point at the eastern end of the Western Regions retreated to Jiayuguan. The government and the public basically remained the same on the composition of the countries in the Western Regions and the end point in the west. However, in order to cover up mismanagement of the Western Regions from Chenghua Emperor to Jiajing Emperor, the Ming Dynasty created the illusion that the Western Regions had always been bounded by Jiayuguan. Although private works praised the active management of the Western Regions and the construction of Jimi garrisons in the early Ming Dynasty, their pictures of the Western Regions were mostly the same as those in the Han and Tang Dynasties. They probably wanted to tell the junior scholars where the former territory of the Western Regions, and placed high hopes for reviving the prosperous era.更多还原
