化学反应工程课程案例教学之膜反应器基本原理及应用
The Principle and Its Application of Membrane Reactor as a Teaching Case in Chemical Reaction Engineering Course
【摘要】 化学反应工程是研究反应机理与反应器设计的核心课程。本文结合碳达峰碳中和相关的氢能战略背景,将高效制氢的先进膜反应器引入课堂教学:首先介绍了膜反应器的基本原理,然后以甲烷蒸汽重整制氢为例,建立了膜反应器设计的模型方程,演示了利用COMSOL软件对其进行求解的过程,进而讨论了膜反应器制氢的关键因素和影响规律,尤其在课堂上向学生展示了真实的膜反应器实物。该案例教学的目的是启发学生思考如何综合利用化学反应工程基础知识探讨学科前沿问题,并紧密结合当前社会关注的能源与环境问题,激发学生志趣,开拓学生思维。
【Abstract】 Chemical reaction engineering is a core course of studying reaction mechanism and reactor design. Considering the background of hydrogen energy for the goal of carbon neutrality, we introduce advanced membrane reactor for efficient hydrogen production to classroom. Firstly, we introduce the principle of membrane reactor; secondly, we build the mathematical models for the design of membrane reactor by COMSOL Multiphysics software and take methane steam reforming as the typical reaction case to show the problem-solving process. Finally, the key factors and rules influencing the hydrogen production of membrane reactor are discussed. In particular, a prototype of a membrane reactor is brought to the students in the classroom. The teaching case presents for bachelor students how to probe the disciplinary frontier issues by taking full use of the fundamentals of chemical reaction engineering. Also, the teaching case achieves the purposes of stimulating students’ interest and broadening students’ thinking by tightly combining the societal challenges of energy and environment with membrane reactor.
