浅析案例教学在反应工程基础课程教学中的应用
A Brief Analysis of Application of Case Study in the Teaching of Elements of Reaction Engineering
【摘要】 反应工程基础是化学工程本科专业的核心基础课之一。传统上该专业课教学以知识点讲述为主,旨在帮助学生学习并掌握反应器设计的基本原理和步骤。而现代反应工程专业课教学则通过案例教学,把课程内容与具有代表性的工业案例或者科技前沿衔接起来,开阔学生的视野,培养学生严谨思维和创新思维的能力,同时通过剖析案例的成功和不足,锻炼学生活学活用和独立思考的能力,使其能够超越课本知识的限制,形成开放、拓展式的学习模式。文中以作者在反应工程基础课程教学中的一个案例“制氢反应过程和反应器设计与发展”为代表,探讨如何将案例教学融入本科专业课教学中,以帮助学生理解反应工程原理,更重要的是激发学生的想象力、创造力,培养学生的专业志趣,践行价值塑造、能力培养和知识传授“三位一体”的教学理念。
【Abstract】 Elements of Reaction Engineering is one of the core courses in the curriculum system of chemical engineering. The conventional teaching is accustomed to the explanation of the knowledge points, guiding students to study the basic principles and steps to design chemical reactors. In nowadays teaching, however, we strengthen the training of critical thinking and creative thinking skills, by case studies for instance. In this way, the course contents are connected with the cases involving representative industrial applications and scientific frontier areas in order to broaden students’ horizons. Meanwhile, the students can practice their independent thinking skills and improve the capability to apply knowledge with full vigor when they analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the specific cases. These will allow students to form the learning style of openness and self-expansion. Here we introduce a typical case of the reactor designs for hydrogen production processes as an example, in order to show the integration of the case study into the teaching of the specialized course. In addition to the understanding of the reaction engineering principles, we aim to illumine the imagination, creativity and aspiration of students to implement the educational concept of a "Three-Pronged Approach" integrating the shaping of values, the cultivating of skills and the imparting of knowledge.
