新工科背景下基于教材问题培养化工类大学生批判性思维的探索

【摘要】 培养创新人才是新工科建设背景下化工高等教育的重要任务,批判性思维是科技创新的前提和基础,也是培养学生创新能力的手段。批判性思维能力包括批判精神和批判思维技巧,通常是在通识课程中讲授和培养,将批判性思维融入到化工类专业课程中培养学生创新能力的案例尚少。本文以国外教科书《Chemical Product Design》中传热系数估算公式中的错误为例,引导学生利用批判性思维发现错误并通过研究分析改正公式。该案例在真实情境中训练学生批判性思维,对学生传统观念的改变和批判性思维技巧的养成都有良好的效果。

【Abstract】 Cultivating innovative talents is an important task of chemical higher education under the background of Emerging Engineering Education(3E).Critical thinking is the premise and foundation of scientific and technological innovation, and also a method to cultivate students’ innovation ability. Critical thinking ability includes critical spirits and critical thinking skills, which are usually taught and cultivated in general education courses. There are only a few cases of integrating critical thinking into chemical engineering courses to cultivate students’ innovation ability. In this paper, the mistake in the heat transfer coefficient estimation equation in the foreign textbook ‘Chemical Product Design’, is taken as an example to guide students to use critical thinking to find the mistake and correct the equation by research and analysis. This case trains students’ critical thinking in real situations, which has good effects on the change of students’ traditional concepts and the cultivation of critical thinking skills.
