【摘要】 典籍翻译在“中国文化走出去”战略中承载着对外传播的重要使命。《西游记》作为我国古典文学名著代表作之一，对西方读者而言其描述了一个充斥着浓厚的异域文化与社会习俗的东方世界。《西游记》的英译，是中国文学走向世界的重要组成部分，同时为典籍翻译研究提供了丰富的案例和语料。社会符号学理论以社会和文化为背景考察整个翻译过程，为翻译研究提供全方位的研究视角。本文以詹纳尔的《西游记》英译本为例，探讨译者如何有效采取归化和异化相结合的策略，从社会符号学视角出发做到指称意义的准确传递、言内意义的巧妙再现以及语用意义的忠实关照。更多还原

【Abstract】 The translation of Chinese classics bears the important mission in the " Chinese culture going abroad" strategy. As one of the representative classic works, " Xi You Ji" describes an exotic oriental world in the eyes of the western readers. The English translation of " Xi You Ji" constitutes an essential part of “Chinese literature spreading to the world”,and provides valuable instances and data for the research of translation of Chinese classics. Socio-semiotics examines the whole process of translation based on society and culture,and offers comprehensive perspective for translation. This paper studies the case of Jenner’s translation version " Journey to the West",and analyzed how the translator effectively adopted the combined translation strategies of domestication and foreignization and skillfully transferred the referential meaning,intralingual meaning and pragmatic meaning.更多还原
