【Abstract】 Technical innovation has been a constant driver for surgical advancement. However, these innovations may also come at great costs for patients. How to objectively evaluate the safety and feasibility of innovative technologies for patients and promoting them clinically has been one of the major challenges for the development of surgery. IDEAL framework published in 2009 is a widely recognized clinical research tool.
