【Abstract】 Under the background of new engineering, the primary goal of talent cultivation of building environment and energy application engineering major is to improve students’ engineering practice ability. Production practice is the main link of the practical teaching of the major, which is very important to cultivate students’ engineering practice ability. In order to meet the needs of the development of new engineering majors, the methods and measures of production practice teaching reform of the major are discussed taking Hunan University of Science and Technology as an example.
