【Abstract】 With cavities as boundaries and based on the traditional sanjiao theory,academician Tong Xiaolin puts forward the sijiao-eight system theory for disease differentiation and treatment.In the new theory framework,the lung system in the upper jiao constitutes an important part,which is responsible for many physiological functions such as governing breathing,activating the qi and blood circulation,regulating water metabolism and so on.On the other hand,various diseases may occur frequently in this part as it is often invaded by exogenous and internal pathogenic factors,which are mostly manifested by the pathogenic qi stagnation and blockade in the lungs,impaired depurative descending of lung qi,generation of phlegm and blood stasis,and lurking pathogens in mucosa.Academician Tong Xiaolin has developed his unique differentiation and treatment strategies for cold,epidemics,asthma,cough,allergic rhinitis and other pulmonary diseases,and the clinical efficacy is remarkable,which can provide a new insight on the diagnosis and treatment for the diseases of “lung system” with traditional Chinese medicine.更多还原
