折/衍混合式VR显示光学系统设计

【摘要】 VR显示光学系统应在具有较大视场角的同时满足厚度薄和重量轻的特性,从而满足人体佩戴的舒适度需要,为能同时满足VR显示光学系统大视场与体积小、重量轻的设计需求,设计了折/衍混合VR显示光学系统。基于一个传统五片式目镜光学系统,通过引入一个衍射光学面,并用光学塑料APL5514ML、EP7000作为透镜材料,设计了一款改进型的四片式全塑料折/衍混合VR显示光学系统,同时对其进行像质评价及公差分析,并在此基础上对镜筒进行机械设计。设计结果表明:改进系统的视场角为90°,总长缩短至48 mm,透镜质量为42.38 g,装配后系统的总质量为114 g。该四片式光学系统为VR显示光学系统的轻小型大视场设计提供了一种新的途径。

【Abstract】 The VR display optical system should have a large field of view and meet the characteristics of thin thickness and light weight,so as to meet the comfort requirements of the human body. To solve the contradiction between the traditional VR display optical system’s large field of view and small,lightweight,a refractive/diffractive hybrid VR display optical system was designed. In this paper,based on a traditional five-piece eyepiece optical system,by introducing a diffractive optical surface and using optical plastic APL5514ML and EP7000 as the lens material,an improved four-piece all-plastic refractive/diffractive hybrid VR display optical system was designed. The image quality evaluation and tolerance analysis was performed,and on this basis,mechanical design of the lens barrel was carried on. The design results show that the field of view of the improved system is 90°,the total length is shortened to 48 mm,the lens mass is 42.38 g,and the total mass of the system after assembly is 114 g. The four-piece optical system provides a new way for the design of the VR display optical system with its small size and large field of view.
