【Abstract】 Some trees can live for more than 100 years and eventually become ancient trees and a very few ancient trees can survive for hundreds or even thousands of years. The causes for longevity of ancient trees has long been a subject concerned about by forestry professionals. In this paper, a comprehensive and systematic analysis was made on the main factors contributing to longevity of ancient trees from the aspects of biological properties of common trees and long-lived trees and natural habits and human-social surroundings of long-lived trees, so as to provide reference for further exploration on longevity and scientific conservation of ancient trees.更多还原
