素化金属结合剂金刚石工具初探

【摘要】 金属结合剂金刚石工具广泛应用于各种硬脆材料的磨削加工。为改善磨具的力学性能和加工性能,常用的金属结合剂中加入大量的合金元素如Ni、Co、Cu、Zn、Sn、Pb、Cr等。一方面提高了材料成本,另一方面在制造和使用过程中可能会造成一定程度的重金属污染。因此,文章提出一种成分简单的“素化”金属结合剂,探索了烧结工艺对结合剂微观结构及力学性能的影响,并制备了金刚石磨具,测试了磨削Al2O3陶瓷的加工性能。研究表明,随着烧结温度的提高,结合剂的致密度、硬度、抗弯强度大体上呈升高趋势;采用优化的烧结工艺制备出素化金属结合剂金刚石工具;工具对Al2O3陶瓷有优异的加工性能。

【Abstract】 Metal bond diamond tools are widely used in the grinding of various hard and brittle materials. In order to improve the mechanical properties and processing properties of abrasive tools, various and large amounts of alloying elements such as Ni, Co, Cu, Zn, Sn, Pb and Cr are added into the metal bond, which has increased the material cost to lead to a certain degree of heavy metal pollution in manufacturing and machining process. Therefore, a "plainificated " metal bond is proposed with a simple composition, and the effect of sintering process on microstructure and mechanical properties of the bond is investigated in this paper. A plainificated metal bond diamond tool is prepared, and its grinding performance on Al2O3 ceramic is tested. The result shows that the relative density, hardness, and flexural strength is increasing with the sintering temperature. Optimized sintering process is used to prepare the plainificated metal bond diamond tool, the as-prepared diamond tool has the good processing performance on Al2O3 ceramic.
