【Abstract】 Public culture is depended by the specific historical background and social environment,which has functions and characteristics including sharing and opening,ritualism and symbolization,differentiation and regionalism,construction and space.Hence,for the teaching of English literary translation in colleges and universities,the author think that it should adhere to the principle of functional equivalence and adopt literal or free translation from perspective of public culture.These strategies aim to help students understand the cultural functions,clarify the integration of various languages cultures or contexts,and promote effectively its integration.更多还原
