【Abstract】 The understanding of Dickens’ realism in Chinese translation during the May 4 th Movement is characterized by realism, socialization and visualization. This understanding promoted the social struggle against the old classical literature and the establishment of the May 4 th New Literary Realism, which met the utilitarian needs of the Times and historical development. This kind of cognition is the selective cognition and conscious construction of the rich complexity of Dickens’ realism, which has influenced the following Dickens research traditions in our country.更多还原
