【摘要】 大学,作为一种学术的制度,没有比今日更受到重视。科学进入大学的知识殿堂是大学历史上的最大发展,有了科学,人类才进入现代世界。在这样的生态下,大学的知识性格发生了根本性的变化,科学不仅取得了知识的主位,而且科学的观念已日趋渗透到社会科学与人文学科。大学一切知识领域都以科学为评准,出现了一个知识的科学范式;知识观已经不是科学的知识观,而是科学主义的知识观了,一切传统的讲人、讲人生意义与价值的德性之知、美艺之知都被边缘化,甚至从大学退位。大学已经忘了教育,在研究、在创新知识上表现出卓越,但在人的培养上却没有灵魂了。在心、用力的大学教育工作者要为大学教育铸造灵魂。有灵魂的通识教育能教人做人,是为大学教育铸造灵魂、造就有灵魂的全人的有效途径。更多还原

【Abstract】 Our modern world would not be modern at all without the understandings and technology enabled by modern science. Likewise,the establishment of scientific specialties in the university is the most important key to the rapid development of our higher education over the past three centuries. Scientific epistemology has become the dominant mode of thinking in our universities,even for those faculties of humanities and social sciences. In fact,such a scientific paradigm has been adopted as the sole yardstick to evaluate various fields of study. With the rise of scientism,the pursuit of virtue and beauty,the sphere of activity in which we search for meaning in life,has been marginalized or even discarded in the university. Striving for excellence merely in research and innovation,our universities have forgotten education,ending up with“excellence without a soul”. To remedy such a situation,it is necessary for us to further promote general education in the university,which is specially designated to foster humanity and cultivate a whole person.更多还原
