【Abstract】 Allen Ginsberg,one of the 20th century’s most influential poets,specializes in oral recitation and performance.He has given thousands of poetry readings throughout his literary career.His poetry reading reestablishes poetry as an oral form,liberates poetry from academic formalism,influences the transformation of American poetry in the 1950s-1960s,and brings American modern poetry into contact with audiences.Ginsberg makes use of sound techniques,rhythmic breathing,chanting and music in his poetry readings,along with a wealth of bodily movements,which equips his poetry reading with unique artistic features,as well as auditory and visual effects.Through using the potential of sound and voice,and the extensive influence of mass media,Ginsberg’s poetry reading has rebelled against and changed American society.更多还原
