【Abstract】 Regarding the research on the information economy or the creative and cultural industries, western scholars have only focused on capital aspect for a long time, while the labor aspect is almost blank. Christian Fuchs has made unremitting efforts and contributions to overcome the "blind spot of labor" in the western media academia. His first monograph on Marxist communication is Digital Labor and Karl Marx. This book can be divided into three parts. The first part is the Marxist theoretical basis for studying digital labor; the second part is the analysis of digital labor cases from the perspective of Marx’s mode of production-digital labor in the transnational ICT industry various forms of digital labor in the international division of labor; the third part is the Marxist critical theoretical of digital labor, which is a theoretical toolbox for analyzing various forms of digital labor. Fuchs’ Digital Labor and Karl Marx makes us appreciate the fascinating charm and immortal value of Marx’s political economy and historical materialism theory in the digital information age. At the same time, his disclosure of the alienation and hidden exploitation of social media users, namely internet prosumers(commodities) or unpaid digital laborers, is worthy of every one of us to ponder.更多还原
