【Abstract】 Melville drew "a map of affect intensities"composed of molar line,molecular line and line of flight in Billy Budd,Sailor. With the change of affect intensities,language moves constantly along three lines:the language existing on the molar line plays a role of territorialization; the language transferred to the molecular line plays a role of relative deterritorialization; the language returned from the molecular line to the molar line constitutes a role of reterritorialization,and the language further galloping along the line of flight plays a role of absolute deterritorialization.
