Discussion on the Effect of Early Rehabilitation Treatment for the Elderly Patients with Stroke and Diabetes
【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the effect of early rehabilitation on the treatment effect of elderly stroke patients with diabetes mellitus. Methods From July 2018 to July 2020, 80 elderly patients with stroke and diabetes were selected as clinical research subjects. The relevant data of 80 elderly patients were retrospectively analyzed, and the patients were strictly followed by the random number table grouping principle and divided into two groups. 40 cases in the control group were treated with conventional symptomatic treatment, and 40 cases in the observation group were treated with early rehabilitation. The relevant indicators of the two groups were obtained and compared. Results Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in blood glucose levels between the two groups of patients(P>0.05); after treatment, the blood glucose levels of the two groups decrease d significantly, and the fasting blood glucose and 2 h postprandial blood glucose levels of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in nerve function, lower limb motor function, balance ability, and walking ability between the two groups( P >0.05); after treatment, the two groups had significant improvement in nerve function, lower limb motor function, balance ability, and walking ability. Observation group of the nerve function, lower limb motor function, balance ability, and walking ability were better than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05). Conclusion Early rehabilitation of elderly stroke patients with diabetes mellitus can improve the blood glucose level, nerve function, lower limb motor function, balance ability, and walking ability of the patients. The overall rehabilitation effect is more ideal, and it has more clinical application value.
