【摘要】 研究目标:实证检验农村居民使用互联网的收入回报。研究方法:利用广义随机森林模型、工具变量法估计互联网使用对农村居民收入提高的因果效应。研究发现:回归结果表明互联网使用能够显著提高农村居民收入。这种促进作用对于青年群体、受教育程度高的群体更为显著。机制分析则表明互联网使用通过提供更多的工作机会以及更加灵活的工作方式来带动农村居民收入提升。研究创新:使用大数据技术中的机器学习算法进行实证研究中的因果识别。研究价值:互联网普及在拉动农村居民收入增长、缩小城乡差距与促进性别平等方面具有重要作用,应当加大农村地区互联网普及程度,从而助力乡村经济社会发展。更多还原

【Abstract】 Research Objectives:To empirically test the income return of Internet use for rural residents.Research Methods:Generalized random forest model and instrumental variable method were used to estimate the causal effect of Internet use on rural residents’ income.Research Findings:The regression results show that Internet use can significantly improve the income of rural residents,this treatment effect is more significant for the youth group,better educated group.Mechanism analysis shows that Internet use mainly provides more job opportunities and more flexible working methods for rural residents,which promotes the income of rural residents.Research Innovations:Use machine learning algorithm in big data technology to identify cause and effect in empirical research.Research Value:Internet popularization plays an important role in promoting the income growth of rural residents,narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas and promoting gender equality.We should increase the Internet popularization in rural areas,so as to help rural economic and social development.更多还原
