【Abstract】 When Agatha Christie built up the golden age of detective novels with exquisite ideas and moral teachings, she distinguished her works from those popular stereotypes. What detectives should do with criminals in the gray area of the law leads to a classic moral problem. When faced with choices which are ethical and non-ethical at the same time, detectives are caught in a dilemma. Christie’s writing about this ethical dilemma is unique and the ethical choices involved are more complicated.Her accounts of ethical predicament and its definition extend to the complexity, vivacity and multiplicity of authentic life.
