【Abstract】 Yuyang Pass was the distribution center of tea trade in western Hubei in modern times. Its advantageous geographical location, gathering of merchants, extensive planting base and international market demand promoted the rise of Yuyangguan tea industry. Water and land transportation, international market changes, changes in that situation and other factors jointly affected the rise and fall of the Yuyangguan tea trade. The tea industry economy developed tortuously in difficulties, but at the same time it promoted the formation of the regional tea industry society.
