【Abstract】 Inferior alveolar nerve injury is one of the serious complications following dental surgeries. Main changes in altered sensation include dysesthesia, paresthesia and pain in lips, chin or gums, which has a negative physical and psychological effect on patients’ quality of life. Comprehending the causes of inferior alveolar nerve injury is helpful to prevent its occurrence.Accurate diagnosis and reliable treatment strategies are conducive to functional sensory.
