【Abstract】 The course of Approaching Rare Earth Materials integrates the values of ecological civilization and patriotism education throughout the whole process of teaching. We firmly hold the idea that ecological civilization education is important and can benefit our future. We guide students to explore the application of rare earth materials in all aspects. Combined with the development status of new technology, we try to expand students’ knowledge, improve students’ scientific literacy, and help students establish a correct outlook on life, values and development views based on the practical problems such as ecological environment issues, patriotism and taking root in frontier areas, etc. The ecological civilization consciousness and morality are cultivated among students to achieve the education effect imperceptibly.
