【Abstract】 Major construction has always been the basis of talent training in colleges and universities. To build a first-class application-oriented university, it is necessary to support the first-class major construction. The first-class major construction of business administration is the only way for the development of business administration discipline in application-oriented universities. The external driving forces of major construction are as follows: to grasp the direction of the first-class major construction, to adhere to the characteristic school running, to position accurately and scientifically, to build a good policy environment, and to improve the educational and teaching hardware facilities. Integrating educational resources, innovating the model of talent training, optimizing the administration structure of the major, perfecting the institutional guarantee system, and enhancing the quality of talent training are the internal motive force for major construction. Without the construction of first-class majors, it is impossible to guarantee the training of first-class talents, and it is difficult to provide urgently needed professional talents to the society.
