多维数组库Xarray在数据处理中的应用
Application of N-D array library Xarray in data research
【摘要】 Xarray作为Python环境下功能强大的多维数组函数库,近年来在地球物理领域逐渐崭露头角,其创建多维数组对象和属性标签化的特性非常适合处理网格化的海洋、气象数据,格式的标准化和操作的一致性为操作大规模数据集带来了方便。本文以ERA5全球再分析数据为例,介绍了Xarray在数据分析中的常用功能和使用方法,包括数据文件的读写、子集选取、合并、插值和简单的可视化,为有数据分析需要的海洋工作者快速上手使用提供一些指引。
【Abstract】 Xarray, as a powerful multidimensional array library in Python environment, has gradually emerged in the geophysical field in recent years. Its features of creating multidimensional array objects and attribute labeling are well suited for handling gridded ocean and meteorological data, and the standardization of format and consistency of operation bring convenience for operating large-scale data sets. This paper introduces the common functions and usage of Xarray in data analysis, including data file reading and writing, subset selection, merging, interpolation and simple visualization, taking ERA5 global reanalysis data as an example, to provide some guidelines for oceanographers with data analysis needs to get started quickly.
