光电倍增管特性测量中电子学效应分析
Analysis on the Electronic Effects in the Characteristics Measurement of Photomultiplier Tube
【摘要】 光电倍增管(PMT)特性测量中,明确电子学系统的指标要求,对测试系统搭建、正确评价测量结果、改进和完善现有的测试方法具有很强的指导意义。通过分析FADC电子学系统波形采样过程,及单光电子谱实验测试数据,从电子学噪声和动态范围出发研究了电子学对测试参数的影响。实验结果表明在当前条件下,单一量程很难同时满足动态范围和信噪比性能指标的设计要求,采用多量程测量及合理切换组合的方式可以有效实现测量需求,实现PMT电子学读出系统,本研究说明了多量程测量方案用于PMT测量的可行性。
【Abstract】 Analyzing the requirements of the electronic system of the photomultiplier tube(PMT)measurement is important to set up the JUNO PMT linear test system,or to optimize the existing test system.With the analysis of experimental data,the performance of a FADC electronics system is studied on the impact of electronics noise and dynamic range with the single photo electron spectrum.The testing results show that a limited single range is difficult to meet all the design requirements at the same time both on dynamic range and signal-to-noise ratio,the application of multi-ranges with suitable range switching is effective to realize the PMT electronic readout system with a realizable technology.The feasibility of the multi-range measurement scheme for the electronic design of JUNO’s PMT is preliminarily explained.
