基于外调制技术25 Gb/s激光器组件的设计

【摘要】 基于外调制技术——电吸收调制,设计了一款25 Gb/s电吸收调制激光器(EML)发射组件(TOSA),用以满足5G传输网络建设中,带宽需求增大和速率需求增加的现状。TOSA需满足工业级温度范围(-40~85℃),而电吸收调制激光器芯片对于温度较为敏感,所以在设计TOSA时需考虑温控问题,利用带温控的封装技术,完成TOSA的制作,解决了温度对产品的影响。通过对TOSA的光电指标和传输性能测试,表明该产品可满足工业级的要求,能够稳定进行40 km的信息传输。

【Abstract】 Based on external modulation technology—electro-absorption modulation,a 25 Gb/s EML-TOSA was designed,to meet the current situation of increased bandwidth requirements and increased rate requirements in the construction of 5 G transmission networks. TOSA needs to meet the industrial temperature(-40~85 ℃),the electro-absorption modulated laser chip is more sensitive to temperature,so it is necessary to consider the temperature when designing TOSA,and use packaging technology with temperature control to complete the production of TOSA,solve the effect of temperature on the product.Through the test of TOSA’s photoelectric index and transmission performance,it shows that the product can meet the requirements of industrial grade and can stably carry out 40 km of information transmission.
