实验课程中激发学生探究仪器科学热情的案例
TEACHING CASES THAT INSPIRE STUDENTS’ ENTHUSIASM FOR INSTRUMENTAL SCIENCE IN COLLEGE PHYSICS EXPERIMENT
【摘要】 本科物理实验是物理课程中非常重要的部分,然而,却常常被学生抱怨"不实惠",这与学生对实验课的狭隘认知相关。笔者通过复旦大学物理教学实验中心多年积累的一些案例,介绍了拓宽学生的课程认知、激发学生学习兴趣的方法:结合当下高端仪器严重依赖进口的困局,在实验课上通过讲述仪器背后的故事,让学生产生危机感和使命感,同时,对实验内容进行变革,提高学生的自主性,例如,让学生通过软件仿真与动手调试相结合,设计、搭建与优化光栅光谱仪;让学生学习HTML5编程语言,并通过对实验内容的物理建模,开发物理仿真课件等。通过教师的引导,学生对于实验仪器及相关软件进行探究与创新的热情得到激发,从而改善了对实验课程的学习体验。
【Abstract】 The undergraduate physical laboratory courses are essential parts of the physics curriculum. However, laboratory courses are often complained to be “low efficient” by students. This is mainly due to the students’ narrow understanding of what they can learn from the laboratory courses. Teaching cases by Fudan Physics Teaching Lab are introduced here to demonstrate ways of broadening students’ cognition of the goals of lab courses and stimulate students’ interest on lab courses. As we all know, the advanced instruments are highly dependent on imports at moment. In the laboratory course, we can tell the story behind the instrument and give students a sense of crisis and mission. At the same time, more flexible experimental projects are rearranged. One case is the design, construction and optimization of a grating spectrometer through software simulation and hands-on debugging. Another case is the development of simulation software by learning the HTML5 programming language and modeling their experiments. In this way, students’ enthusiasm for exploring and developing experimental instruments and related software is stimulated, thereby enhancing their learning experience on lab courses.
