【Abstract】 The cognitive level of world-class universities has great effects?on the direction and speed of the construction of first-class universities, and determines its validity and prospects. From the perspective of historical evolution and trend, the world-class universities have experienced many changes in terms of time-space pattern, organizational function, school running subjects, social evaluation and so on, showing the characteristics of talent oriented, scientific research priority, master gathering and society leading. Following the historical evolution trend of world-class universities, China’s construction of world-class universities should be underpinned by the cultivation of talents, guided by self-reliance and self-improvement in science and technology and supported by respect and desire for talents. Moreover, the contraction must serve our national strategies, lead social development, and encourage the joint efforts from both government and industrial enterprises to build universities.更多还原
