【Abstract】 This paper studies the durative aspect in Yue dialects in eleven places including Guangzhou, and finds out that duration and state of action can be distinguished but not opposite in most durative aspect of Yue dialects and there is a continuum between them. The paper also compares the durative aspect systems of Yue and other dialects in southeastern China, and also that of early Yue dialect, and discusses about its manifestation in Yue dialect.更多还原
