【Abstract】 This article presents a research framework for the translation history of Red China(1902-1978),which mainly includes the period of May Fourth Movement(1902-1930), the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression(1931-1945), and the first three decades after the founding of P. R. China(1949-1978). Drawing on first-hand materials and adopting the interdisciplinary approaches of translation studies, history, sociology, culturology and political science the article analyzes the contributions of translators for the enlightenment of the public, the founding of Chinese Communist Party and P. R. China, the defense against foreign invasions and the construction of New China together with their role in pushing for social change in specific social-historical contexts.更多还原
