【Abstract】 In the late Ming Dynasty, Russia began to contact Chinese tea. In the early Qing Dynasty, Chinese tea gradually spread in Russia. In the middle and late 19 th century, the tea trade between China and Russia was increasing day by day. At the beginning of 20 th century, Russia became a world tea drinking country. Two-thirds of the tea imports were Chinese tea, and the remaining one-third were Ceylon tea and Indian tea. In the 1880 s, large areas of Chinese tea trees were introduced in Russia.
