姜黄素减缓老年小鼠的骨丢失

【摘要】 骨质疏松症是一种年龄相关性骨骼疾病,近年来随着人口老龄化的加剧,其发病率逐渐上升.在这项研究中,我们采用Micro-CT扫描从骨组织微结构角度证实了小鼠随着年龄的增长,它的骨质会逐渐丢失,同时也观察到姜黄素可以有效地减缓老年小鼠的骨丢失.通过小鼠胫骨切片染色和傅里叶显微红外扫描的方法,我们发现姜黄素可以通过增加胫骨骨小梁数目、提高骨矿盐和碳酸盐取代程度、降低结晶度与胶原交联比来阻止老年小鼠伴随年龄增长发生的骨丢失.结果提示我们姜黄素可能通过改变胫骨组织的微结构与微观成分来调控骨重建过程,它可作为治疗年龄相关性骨质疏松症的潜在有用成分.

【Abstract】 Osteoporosis is a kind of age-related bone disease.In this study,we used MicroCT scanning to confirm the bone loss of mice with age from the perspective of bone microstructure.By means of tibial HE staining and Fourier micro-infrared scanning,we found that Curcumin could prevent bone loss in aged mice by increasing the number of tibial trabeculae,the degree of carbonate replacement and bone mineral,and decreasing crystallinity and collagen cross-linking.The results shows that curcumin could not only inhibit osteoclast differentiation but also promote osteoblast differentiation and its calcification.The results suggest that Curcumin may regulate the process of bone remodeling by inhibiting bone resorption and promoting bone formation,and it may be potential useful components in the treatment of age-related osteoporosis.
