石炭纪生物礁与晚古生代冰期的耦合关系
The coupled relationship between Carboniferous reefs and the Late Paleozoic ice age
【摘要】 有着海洋"热带雨林"之称的生物礁,是一个由各类生物组成的高级生态系统,无论是现代还是古代的生物礁都对环境的变化十分敏感。地质历史时期,古环境和古气候在一定程度上影响着生物礁的发展和演化,其中比较有代表性的是晚古生代冰期对石炭纪生物礁的作用。晚古生代冰期是显生宙以来最为重要的气候变冷事件之一,开始于泥盆纪末,结束于早二叠世,导致全球古气候和古环境发生了剧烈变化,并对石炭纪生物礁系统造成了深远的影响。多年来,在地质科技工作者的不懈努力下,虽然已经在晚古生代冰期和石炭纪生物礁两方面取得了一定的研究成果,但是并未对二者之间的相互作用关系进行深入研究。本文系统总结了两大领域国内外研究现状,受古环境和古气候影响,石炭纪生物礁经历了独具特色的发展和演化史,并与晚古生代冰期的不同阶段表现出较强的相关性。石炭纪各时期生物礁的繁盛或衰落与气候回暖或变冷呈现出很好的对应关系。
【Abstract】 Reefs, known as the "tropical rainforest" in the ocean, are an advanced ecosystem composed of various organisms. Both modern and ancient reefs are very sensitive to climatic and environmental changes. In the geological times, the development and evolution of reefs was influenced by paleoenvironment and paleoclimate, represented by the coupling of Carboniferous reefs and the late Paleozoic ice age. The late Paleozoic ice age was one of the most important cooling events since the Phanerozoic, with a duration from the end-Devonian to early Permian, which led to dramatic changes in paleoenvironment and paleoclimate, and had a profound impact on the Carboniferous reef ecosystem. Ongoing research over past years has yielded considerable understanding of the late Paleozoic ice age and Carboniferous reefs, but the interaction between them has not been studied in detail. In this paper, both current research status of late Paleozoic ice age and Carboniferous reefs are systematically summarized to better reveal their coupled relationship. The evolutionary history of the Carboniferous reefs shows a good correspondence between the thriving and decline of the reefs and temperature changes during the late Phanerozoic ice age.
