【Abstract】 In recent years, the development of China’s high-speed rail has attracted attention. The active promotion of China’s high-speed rail "going out" strategy has greatly promoted the realization of the national "One Belt and One Road" initiative. Taking 11 countries along the routes and 11 countries not along the routes where China is building modern railways in Africa as samples, this paper adopts the multi-period double difference method to empirically analyze the impact of China’s high-speed rail "Entering Africa" on the economic development of countries along the routes. The findings suggest that high-speed rail has a significant positive impact on the economic development of countries along the routes. At the same time, the level of consumption and urbanization is also an important factor affecting the economic development of countries along the routes, whereas population density has no significant impact on the economic development of countries along the routes.更多还原
