【Abstract】 The fight against the new crown pneumonia epidemic is a major test for the national governance system and governance capacity,and it has also become a touchstone and testing point of the modernization of higher education governance in China. What is the important impact the epidemic have on the society and higher education? What is the situation in higher education? How effective is"suspended class,ongoing learning"? What are the missing teaching elements of online education?These issues are worth our consideration. However,the occurrence of the epidemic reminds us to think about the education from the perspective of the whole society,and to "go out of education to see the education"and "go out of school to see the education". In the process of promoting the modernization of education governance system and capacity,we must pay attention to the uncertainty of education development,strengthen the construction of risk research and judgment capacity of the education crisis,and improve education’s ability to respond to the public security emergencies. The most important social responsibility of a university is the cultivation of talents. It is necessary to train people with rational cognition and pay attention to people’s internal emotional experience and personality perfection.
