Application value of MoCA scale in the assessment of cognitive dysfunction in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage
【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the application value of Montreal cognitive assessment(MoCA) in the assessment of cognitive dysfunction in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage(aSAH). Methods From February 2017 to February 2019, 34 patients with a SAH(study group) and 40 patients with general surgery(control group) were enrolled, and the two groups were evaluated by MoCA scale. The differences of MoCA score between the two groups were compared. Results The MoCA score of the study group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05),and the incidence of cognitive dysfunction in the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P <0.05);and the scores of space and executive function, attention, calculation, abstraction and orientation in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P <0.05). Conclusion The MoCA scale can be used as a good tool for cognitive function assessment and screening of aSAH patients, which is worthy of clinical popularization.
