Study on effect of continuing care application in diabetes complicating stroke based on Omaha system
【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the effect of continuing nursing care application in diabetes complicating stroke based on the Omaha system. Methods Ninety-two patients with diabetes complicating stroke in this hospital from September 2018 to August 2019 were selected and divided into the study group and control group according to the admission time,46 cases in each group. The control group was given the routine nursing. On the basis of routine nursing, the study group was given the continuing care based on the Omaha system. Then the self-management ability score,self-care behavior, nursing effect, and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The self-management ability scores on 3 dbefore discharge from hospital had no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The self-management ability scores on 30 dafter discharge from hospital in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group, the diet, motion, blood glucose monitoring, feet care scores, total effective rate and total satisfaction in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The continuing care based on the Omaha system has an active effect on improving the self-management level and quality of life in the patients with diabetes complicating stroke and has the significant effect.
